Despite not making an appearance at last week’s E3, the latest Famitsu (via Hachima) has an interview with Square Enix boss and Final Fantasy VII remake director Tetsuya Nomura.
Nomura made note that Square is actually still deciding when to release the next bit of news regarding the highly anticipated remake – which explains the game’s no-show at the big expo last week.
In terms of overall development, Nomura pointed out that since the switch to an internal team, development progress has been moving along better than they expected.
He also noted that the direction of the game was decided before switching to an internal team, and that their goal is to keep the atmosphere of the game intact – while going further in depth with the characters like the AVALANCHE members.
Lastly, Nomura said that since development is progressing nicely, he asked fans to wait until the next bit of news for the remake with no worries or concerns.
