Tesla Cars Add Sonic the Hedgehog, So You Can Go Fast While Driving Fast

Tesla Cars Add Sonic the Hedgehog

We got an interesting update just now – Tesla cars add Sonic the Hedgehog, yes the original game starring the blue blur himself is now playable in Tesla OS.

Tesla cars add Sonic the Hedgehog a bit after other high profile games like throwback shooter Cuphead, nuclear fallout management simulator Fallout Shelter, and even farming simulator Stardew Valley have all been added to the electric car’s operating system.

The new partnership with Sega to bring the original Sonic the Hedgehog to Tesla’s built-in gaming system lets passengers in the car plug in a USB controller and play away at the classic 1991 platformer that started it all.

Sonic the Hedgehog was originally released for the Sega Genesis / Mega Drive back in June 1991, and its mascot – the titular Sonic, who was originally designed to be a competitor for Nintendo’s Super Mario. The game has been released for practically every platform since, and is now available as part of classic collections and individually on smartphones, PCs, and consoles.

The latest game in the series, Sonic Frontiers, was properly revealed last week. It’s launching across Windows PC (via Steam), Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.

In related news, the first trailer for the Sonic the Hedgehog 2 movie was finally shared – you can watch that here. The movie is set to premiere on April 8th, 2022. In case you missed it, you can find our review for the first film here (we recommend it!)
