Re-Logic has announced that both the Mac and Linux versions of Terraria are finally available.
While the game came out back in May of 2011 on PC, it has since been ported to almost every other platform imaginable, including Playstation 3, Playstation 4, PS Vita, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and finally iOS and Android.
If you already own the PC version, you’ll get access to the Mac and Linux versions entirely for free. However, the PC, Mac. and Linux versions of the game are not compatible with the console and mobile versions. Still, the PC, Mac and Linux versions can all use the same save files.
In case you missed it – Terraria: Otherworld is currently in development, via a partnership with Engine Software. I did an interview with their boss, in which we talked up how the new game is switching things up, and providing a more robust experience.
