Terra Battle Hits 2 Million Downloads – Console Version Incoming

Mistwalker Corporation has announced their smartphone RPG, Terra Battle, has topped over 2 million downloads worldwide – meaning the game is officially getting a console port.

“We are truly humbled to see Terra Battle achieve this milestone. As every player download expanded both the scope of our game and our imagination to create a richer experience for the fans,” said Mistwalker founder Hironobu Sakaguchi. “With the console game of Terra Battle underway and the next phase of the Download Starter campaign in motion, we are eager to see how the game will evolve in the coming months.”

Featured above, a new video was revealed to celebrate the new milestone for the game. Previously, we knew the game would be coming to consoles, but only if their “download starter” campaign had proven successful. Alongside the new video was the confirmation for an in-game event, running from today until May 4th, where players get a free single energy per day.

While details for the console version are scant – we do know Mistwalker will be sharing more details in the near future, as well as new rewards for their download starter campaign, as it progresses.

It’ll be interesting to play again without the micro-transactions hopefully.

May have 2 million DL, but I think it messed up my tablet when I installed it.

All I know is: tablet working fine before installed game, tablet does weird things and crashes after game is installed, given that it was the only thing installed before problems started, after managing to uninstall it tablet working fine again.

I won’t be getting it unless the console game is literally a complete rework of the concept – i.e. not a conversion or a port.

I never get along with freemium games that come to console.

Strange…heard of games sometime making tablet/smartphone weird, but never experienced it myself.

I had no problems playing the game, except that it bored me and I uninstalled it afterwards.
