Teppen—!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Laughing ’til you Cry will finally be airing its previously canceled second episode on September 10.
The episode included a grave misunderstanding involving some Japanese wordplay. However the basis for the joke involves a note being misunderstood as an assassination threat against a “president”. This episode was originally set to air on July 9, shortly after the assassination of former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. While the Teppen team didn’t outright say this was the reason for the delay, it’s a safe assumption.

Teppen—!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Laughing ’til you Cry follows two girls who want to be comedians going to school in Osaka’s entertainment district. After putting on a show and winning a contest at a local shopping center, the two set their sights even higher. With such a plain premise, it’s difficult at first to see where an issue could arise in the show’s second episode.
