Logitech has announced a new partnership between Tencent Games and their Logitech G brand for a new device in the cloud handheld market. The current name for this mostly unknown device is the “Logitech G Gaming Handheld”.
Not much information on the handheld was given, but they note they are working with Xbox Cloud Gaming and NVIDIA GeForce NOW teams to bring their services to the platform.
This new device is expected to support “multiple cloud gaming services”. So it’s possible there are more services such as Google Stadia and Amazon Luna in the works as well.
“Logitech G’s leadership in PC and console gaming gear make them an ideal partner to help us realize the vision of bringing a better gaming experience to gamers around the globe,” said Daniel Wu, general manager of Tencent Games Smart Solution Innovation Lab.
Ujesh Desai, general manager of Logitech G, added, “As one of the leading global platforms for game development, publishing and operations, Tencent Games has been at the forefront of innovation and it’s why we partnered with them.”
