Japanese developer Edia has announced Telenet RPG Collection, a new collection of classic RPGs made by Telenet Japan back in the 1990s.
Telenet RPG Collection is in development for Nintendo Switch and will launch on November 27th in Japan.
Here’s a rundown on the collection, plus its reveal trailer:
The protagonist is a subordinate of the Demon King! In “Dark Kingdom,” the savior “Hero” also appears as an enemy. a simulation RPG where a prince whose homeland was destroyed by an enemy nation leads monsters in his quest for revenge, titled “Hiiou-den: The Oath with the Monsters,” and an action RPG where the protagonist, who was traveling, races against time to clear the game and return home to save his homeland, titled “Noigia: The Pulse of the Sea and Wind.” These three distinctive RPG titles have been fully ported to the Nintendo Switch.
In addition to essential retro game features such as “rewind,” “save anywhere,” and “encounter off,” the “Gift Selection” offers digitized paper documents such as unpublished and rare concept documents and scenario collections from that time, providing access to valuable materials.

- Dark Kingdom (1994, Super Famicom) – The protagonist is a subordinate of the Demon King! This is a reverse-perspective world line in which the human savior, the “Hero,” appears as the enemy. A new picaresque RPG with an extreme storyline and highly flexible events that lead to different endings!
- Hiōden: Mamono-tachi tono Chikai (1994, Super Famicom) – A path from which there is no turning back. The protagonist chooses to go down that path. Will they be able to rescue their comrades who are fighting alone along with the monsters sealed in stone statues? A dark fantasy SRPG in which a prince whose country was destroyed by the betrayal of his minister leads monsters to exact revenge!
- Noigīa: Kaifū no Kodō (1993, Super Famicom) – The rich territory of Noigia, Kingdom of Maldoror. After a long period of peace, pirates have appeared and the situation is becoming increasingly dangerous. The king is concerned and tries to investigate the cause, but the situation continues to worsen. At this time, the lord’s only son, Duke, rushes back home from his travels to help… Run, jump, cut, and use chains! A new dimension of action RPG.
