Tekken 7 Producer Asks Fans What Guest Characters Should Appear in Game

Tekken series producer Katsuhiro Harada is pretty outspoken on Twitter, so it makes sense that when he asks fans to leave feedback or input, they typically oblige in droves. His most recent outreach to fans has polled them on what guest characters they’d like to see in Tekken 7, and boy did the fans not disappoint.

Fan suggestions ranged from silly (The Simpson’s Ned Flanders), to insane (Kenshiro from Fist of the North Star), to more logical choices, like Yakuza series protagonist Kazuma Kiryu – who seemed to get the most votes.

Make sure to politely recommend various characters for Tekken 7 via Harada’s two Twitter threads here and here, but please make sure to not waste your vote on bonehead suggestions like Marvel characters or other fighting game characters.

It’s obviously not guaranteed that any suggestion will make it in game, and Harada is frequently known to troll people on social media, so it remains to be seen if he’ll even consider any suggestion for new roster additions from outsiders seriously.

Previously, Harada confirmed that post-launch, paid DLC for the game will only include “special characters,” meaning classic fighters won’t be put behind a paywall. The game’s first confirmed guest character, Street Fighter’s Akuma, will be included in the base game. Two more are confirmed to follow after that.

Tekken 7 is launching across PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on June 2nd. What kind of guest characters would you like to see in Tekken 7? Sound off in the comments below!
