The publisher behind games such as Worms, Overcooked, Dredge, and Hell Let Loose, Team17, has confirmed layoffs affecting its marketing and communications operations.
According to reports, the company recently completed a review of its business structure and decided to make changes within the department. Team17 later confirmed two staff members were let go.
The latest cuts follow a much larger restructuring effort in 2023, when dozens of employees across multiple departments were reportedly laid off.
Those changes came during a difficult period for the games industry, which has seen widespread redundancies across publishers and studios worldwide.
For now, Team17 has not announced any further restructuring plans, but the move highlights the ongoing challenges many gaming companies continue to face as they adapt to changing market conditions.
