The launch of the Playstation 4 in Japan is rapidly approaching – and while the Japanese launch line up is pretty robust, some developers have been quietly working on new games for the platform.

In a new interview published by Dengeki, Team Ninja boss Yosuke Hayashi has revealed that they’ve been working on a game for the platform:

“First, we’re going to release Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z for Playstation 3 and Xbox 360, which we developed in collaboration with the Inafune-led studio Comcept. Please look out for this ridiculous ‘zombie x ninja’ game. Additionally, we’re also working on a PlayStation 4 title internally, so please look forward to hearing about this game.”

So there you have it – Team Ninja is working on a PS4 game. Could it be yet another ninja based game, or possible something totally different? Only time will tell.

Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden z is set for release across Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and PC on March 18th in North America and March 21st in Europe.
