Nintendo has announced the North American release date for Tank Troopers.

The tank-brawling action game will launch on February 16th, for the Nintendo 3DS. Announced back in September of last year, the game was given a general winter 2016 release window.

Tank Troopers for Nintendo eShop on Nintendo 3DS family systems is an action game that thrusts you into battle behind the wheel of a tank with specialised abilities.

Depending on the types of troopers in your tank, you’ll have access to different abilities. They may look like normal tanks, but these powerful machines can strike surrounding enemies with a freeze attack, launch paint balls to block opponents’ views or use electric shocks to stop rival tanks in their tracks. This is not your average tank warfare!

In addition to single-player and a local six-player multiplayer mode, the game offers Download Play. Recon tells us there are other game modes too…
