Tales of Zestiria: New Screens & Story Details

tales of zestiria ss 7

If you weren’t satisfied by the two videos and the sprinkling of screenshots we have been given so far for Zestiria, Namco Bandai has certainly delivered today. Thanks a new posting by Sony Computer Entertainment Japan and Asia, we have some new screenshots and information.

Despite this containing most of the information in our recent preview, the new posting by Sony Computer Entertainment Japan and Asia is as follows:

The game takes place on the continent of Glenwood, which is split between the Highland Kingdom and the Laurence Empire. The “Defiled” have taken hold of the continent, as their presence is now widespread. The forest of Eylos is the only area where the Defiled have yet to take hold. As the Shrine Grove lies untouched within this forest, it seems reminiscent of the utopian legends of the past.

Slay was born and raised in this region within the Shrine Grove, forbidden to leave and as such has remained pure and innocent. Due to his upbringing near ancient ruins, Slay naturally became interested in them and began visiting them on a daily basis.

As he was exploring a set of ruins one day, Slay is involved in a collapse within the ruins themselves, where he meets Alicia. She opens his eyes regarding the outside world, namely all the disasters caused by the Defiled.
