We’ve gotten word of some new information and screenshots for Bandai Namco’s upcoming mothership Tales game, Tales of Zestiria.
First up, it’s the newly revealed character, Zabida.
Zabida (voice by Kenjirou Tsuda)
Gender: Male
Height: 187 cm. (about 6’1″)
“Banishing those hyouma back to Hell is something I’m proud to do.”
Zabida utilized the element of wind, and he is a member of the Family of Heaven. He’s been traveling in search of rogue Hyouma to hunt down and pacify.
He’s described as a mysterious man, both in his attitude and his mannerisms, but he does dish out his fair share of wisdom and womanizing.
Zabida is generally considered a veteran fighter, and he is generally most happy when fighting a tough opponent. Once he gets going, it’s extremely hard to stop him and his rampaging like attacks and techniques. His fighting style is similar to that of another wind element user, Dezel, only he carries a mysterious weapon known as Siegfried.
This weapon, whose physical appearance is currently unknown, can wipe out Hyouma with ease. The true motivations behind Zabida are also currently unknown, but he definitely is mostly engaged on destroying every Hyouma in his path.
We’ve also learned of two new regions within the game, which you can read about below:
Pendrago City
The biggest and most robust city in the continent of Glynnwood, Pendrago is the capital of the Laurence Empire. The city lies in roughly in the center of the continent, and it holds an extremely important strategical location. The city is known for being a massive distribution and trade hub, where many merchants and caravans visit.
Pendrago has massive, defensively positioned wall, behind which lies the city’s royal palace, and the ruins of an old temple. Some of the buildings date back to the time of the Age of Asgardian Ascension, which took place hundreds of years prior. Pendrago is somewhat of a relic itself, made up of many old buildings and pieces of culture, reflecting on the Empire’s long existence.
Palbarey Plains
Surrounding the city of Pendrago lies the Palbarey Plains, the biggest grain production area in the entire continent. The hills are set up for animal grazing, and the entire region is usually nicknamed the “Imperial Pantry.”
Previously, the plains were used to supply the citizens of the entire Empire, but since the Age of Calamity has been going on, the entire region has been overcome with extended rain seasons and various other issues that continue to plague the crop.
Tales of Zestiria is currently in development for the Playstation 3.
While a release date has not been confirmed, we previously confirmed the game would be hitting the west the same year it launches in Japan.
