Tales of Hearts R is Officially Coming West this Winter

Following a premature leak via Gamestop’s online store, Namco Bandai has officially confirmed that Tales of Hearts R is coming West. The game will be hitting Playstation Vita in both North America and Europe this winter. The confirmation of the game also comes via series producer Hideo Baba, who confirms the release in the video featured above.

Baba-san had this to say:

“Last year in 2013, I attended many events across the world and received lots of requests from fans to release Tales of Hearts R. So we have been looking for a way to make it a reality and we have finally found it.”

He continued:

“I’d like you to be excited for the Tales series with the release of Tales of Xillia 2, as well as more news about Tales of Zestiria and Tales of Hearts R.”

In North America, the retail box for the game will indeed be exclusive to Gamestop, but as with any Playstation Vita release, it’s also hitting the Playstation Network as well. The European release is still a bit unclear, as we’re still waiting for information from Namco’s European branch.

The Tales of Hearts R remake first launched in Japan last March. It’s a complete remake of the original Tales of Hearts, adding full 3D graphics and character models, fully voice dialogue, new story events, two new party members, and more.
