TBS Television and developer GeekOut K.K. have announced an official Takeshi’s Castle video game, a new game released not long after Amazon’s successful reboot of the TV show.

The new Takeshi’s Castle video game is actually built within the wildly popular sandbox creation platform Roblox, and was released on the platform earlier this fall.

It’s worth noting the Takeshi’s Castle video game is the first release under the new TBS branch TBS Games, which will release dedicated games for their numerous IPs across PC, consoles, mobile, arcade, board and card games, and more.

Roblox has been available for Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S (via backwards compatibility), Android, iOS, and most recently both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

Iconic obstacles from “Takeshi’s Castle” such as ‘Ryujin-Ike aka Stepping Stone’ and ‘Daruma-san ga koronda aka Now You See Me, Now You Don’t ‘, make a comeback on Roblox. Similar to the show, players team up to take on these challenges together.

The lobby area, serving as the entrance before the game begins, features buildings displaying the rankings of the players’ games and obstacles like mazes. In the future, there are also plans to sell digital items related to “Takeshi’s Castle”, such as avatar clothing and accessories.
