Hit Japanese game show Takeshi’s Castle was brought back earlier this year thanks to Amazon.

The popular series originally ran from 1986-1990 and is better known in the US as Most Extreme Elimination Challenge (MXC) which is known for its gag dub reel.

The show features the titular Takeshi Kitano, one of Japan’s most prolific actors as a feudal lord whose castle is protected by a myriad of traps and challenges.

The series is currently out on Prime Video in Japan, and apparently Singapore with English subtitles. A UK version with added English narration is set to premiere on August 30. We’re uncertain if future seasons are in the works.
