• Takamaru is a Confirmed Assist Trophy in Super Smash Bros.

    We recently confirmed that The Mysterious Murasame Castle, a Nintendo Entertainment System classic that never made it out of Japan, is finally coming to North America this week after 26 years of being a Japan exclusive.

    It seems like Nintendo is taking this new chance for worldwide fans to play as Takamaru pretty seriously, as he was also just confirmed to be an assist trophy in the upcoming Super Smash Bros., which is coming to 3DS and Wii U.


    The news was confirmed via series creator Masahiro Sakurai, who yet again posted to the Miiverse:

    “Pic of the day. I, Takamaru, have waited many years to appear in Super Smash Bros.! Link, Samus, Pit, and I debuted in the same year! Multidirectional Pinwheel Knife Rook Attack!! (FYI, I’m an Assist Trophy.)”

    So are you guys excited to see Takamaru both in glorious 3D and 2D?
