Symphogear x Fate/Kaleid Liner PRISMA ILLYA Collab Announced and Now Live

Symphogear XD Unlimited Fate/Kaleid Liner PRISMA ILLYA

Japanese mobile gacha game Symphogear XD Unlimited has announced and launched the Fate/Kaleid Liner PRISMA ILLYA collaboration event.

Like previous collab events, characters from their respective series are featured in a side story alongside main characters from Symphogear.

After being stranded on a remote island in the middle of the ocean, Illya, Chloe, and Miyu encounter Yukine Chris, Akatsuki Kirika, and Tsukuyomi Shirabe. Getting bestowed with the magical girl powers, the Gear users are able to transform into magical girls themselves. Each of the Gear users have outfits that match their partnered PRISMA counterpart.

The new event features 5 new cards for use. Memoria cards, which are used as support buffs, are typically scenes from the TV anime of Symphogear and, in the case of collabs, new illustrations entirely.

Fans of Illya will know of the infamous “kissing” scene from the series; now teased again in the new illustration for the Memoria card featuring Chloe. The other Memoria card is a close up of Yukine Chris’ face during a comedic scene from the anime series.

Character cards use Kirika, Shirabe, and Chris with their new adornments. Mixing the attire of PRISMA with their style of Gear makes every outfit unique and it’s own. Each special attack is obviously a reference to the attacks used in PRISMA ILLYA. During special attack animations, some use the art from the cards.

Like previous events, every so often the game will be updated server side to add the remaining missions. The collaboration event is to celebrate the release of the movie: Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya – Licht Nameless Girl that released in August this year.

The event ends October 14th, and the update is now available for download through Apple’s App Store and Google’s Play Store in Japan exclusively.
