Bandai Namco Entertainment have revealed the story trailer for Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris, along with details about the game’s free updates.
The trailer shows the story behind on the game’s original character Medina. The trailer and press release also reveal that Renly, Sheyta, and Sortiliena from Sword Art Online Alicization will be recruitable, along with new character Hersyrian. Players will also fight off Black Knight, Kayode, and Mysterious Giant.
Characters can master the eight Sacred Arts (Heat, Ice, Wind, Water, Crystal, Steel, Light, and Darkness”), and grow close with characters in-game, and even date them.

The press release also details the special editions for the game. Pre-ordering the standard edition has a bonus of four Design Contest Costumes, while pre-ordering the Deluxe Edition includes that, along with the Premium Pass, Premium Pass Bonus Costume, and 200 SAO Coins. The Four Design Contest Costumes can also be purchased separately.

If players log on daily and complete each daily quest, they can obtain all the items from the CUBEs and deck out their characters. SWORD ART ONLINE Alicization Lycoris also supports an in-game currency also known as SAO coins, which users can purchase to trade for individual items from the CUBE, enabling players to get their favorite items easily.”
