Switch 2 sales top 10.36 million, Switch 1 tops 154.01 million

Nintendo has announced the latest Switch and Switch 2 hardware sales, and to no one’s surprise their hardware keeps selling well.

While Nintendo Switch 1 has sold 154.01 million units, Nintendo Switch 2 has already sold over 10.36 million units since its global launch back in June 2025.

To compare, Switch 1 only sold just shy of 1 million units in the 3-month fiscal period since their last postings and Switch 2 sold a whopping 4.54 million units.

The trade off in sales makes sense when considering most potential Switch buyers are now opting for the newer Switch 2 hardware, and that games are becoming exclusive to that platform.

Nintendo also shared their latest top-selling titles for Switch and Switch 2:

  2. Donkey Kong Bananza – 3.49 million units

  1. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – 69.56 million units
  2. Animal Crossing: New Horizons – 48.62 million units
  3. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate – 36.93 million units
  4. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – 33.34 million units
  5. Super Mario Odyssey – 29.84 million units
  6. Pokémon Scarlet/Pokémon Violet – 27.61 million units
  7. Pokémon Sword/Pokémon Shield – 26.96 million units
  8. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom – 22.15 million units
  9. Super Mario Party – 21.23 million units
  10. New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe – 18.53 million units
