Popular Japanese voice actress and singer Suzuko Mimori has announced that she will relocate to America this summer.
She acknowledged in her post that the move might affect her singing and voice acting career but she still intends to continue her work and do her best despite the changes.
Mimori is currently married to Kazuchika “The Rainmaker” Okada since 2019, a professional wrestler currently signed with All-Elite Wrestling. Okada previously worked on the Bushiroad-owned New Japan Wrestling Promotion until 2024.
Since Okada is currently based in the United States and Florida specifically (where AEW is located) since March, this is believed to be the reason for Mimori’s move Stateside, so he can be with his family.
Suzuko Mimori is perhaps best known for her role in the Love Live franchise as Umi Sonoda, one of the main characters in the first Love Live anime released in 2014.
Mimorin as she is known to fans is also known for roles in anime released by Bushiroad, from Bang Dream’s Yuri Oshigome, Revue Starlight’s Hikari Kagura Milky Holmes’ Sherlock Shellingford, Future Card Buddyfight’s Hanako Mikado, Luck and Logic‘s Logigraph, and Cardfight Vanguard‘s Kourin, in addition to perfoming theme and insert songs for them.
Mimori also voiced Yuruyuri’s Himawari Furutani, Sora Takenouchi in Digimon Adventure tri, Cure Earth/Asumi Fuurin in Healin’ Good Precure, Nanami Momozono from Kamisama Kiss, Myucel from Outbreak Company, Neko Fujinomiya from Masamune-kun’s Revenge, Teekyuu’s Kanae Shinjou, and Sangonomiya Kokomi from Genshin Impact.
