During today’s Super Smash Bros. Ultimate presentation, Director and Scenario Writer Masahiro Sakurai revealed Min Min from ARMS would be joining the roster as a DLC character.
It had been previously teased that a character from ARMS would be joining, but now we have confirmation it is Min Min. Working for the Mintendo Noodle House, her ARMS ability has her arms as noodle-like springs.
The reason for Min Min’s inclusion is due to the Producer of ARMS Kosuke Yabuki stating “I want Min Min.” Sakurai himself was considering Min Min or Ninjara. Yabuki also considers all the characters the protagonists of ARMS, rather than just Spring Man.
Armed with her Ramram and Dragon weapons, Min Min has a long range on her attacks, and is able to bend them. Rather than the B button acting as a special attack, B is a right armed punch, while A is a left armed punch. Both can be thrown out at the same time.
Her long range also means she struggles in close-up fights, and some her attacks can be easier to dodge. She can also unleash kung-fu kicks at short range by tapping the button.
Down B lets you change the Ramram in her right hand to the slower and more powerful Megawatt, or a second Dragon (which can shoot a laser by holding the button down). After throwing a foe, the Dragon ARM grows more powerful.
Her up+B launches her high into the air using her arms, which also grants some immunity for a short time. When used in the air, it can be used to grapple onto the stage’s edge.
Her final Smash is ARMS Rush, summoning many arms fighters to pummel the foe senseless before finishing them with the laser.
Her stage is Spring Stadium, which has special jump-pads on either side and in the middle that will boost your jumping height. While open-air, there are arches at the top of the stage that opponents can knock into. Drones will also drop items through the match.
Her stage will feature 18 tracks in total, two being new arrangements. As the ARMS is already a fighting game, Sakurai stated there was less need to arrange the tracks.

The Min Min DLC character launches June 29th for $5.99, or as part of Fighters Pass Vol. 2.
Min Min is the first character of six from Fighters Pass Vol. 2. Sakurai also confirmed at the time of the Fighter Pass’ announcement that the characters have been also already been decided.
