Despite having being indefinitely postponed earlier this year, Nintendo has confirmed Super Nintendo World Japan opens March 18th.
The Nintendo-themed theme park, based in Universal Studios Japan and located in Osaka, was previously set to open sometime later due to COVID-19 concerns and the national emergency still in place in Tokyo.
The park’s Universal Studios Orlando location was delayed indefinitely in early August 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic as well. Universal Studios Japan and Nintendo later announced in December 2020 it would open February 4, only to postpone it again.
Originally revealed back in 2015 with a summer 2020 opening, Super Nintendo World is also set to have locations in the aforementioned Orlando, Florida park, Hollywood, California, and even Singapore.
