If you live on the east coast of the United States and are an avid fan of Nintendo games, rejoice as Super Nintendo World is set to finally open in Florida next year.
Last year, Universal Studios in partnership with Nintendo opened up SUPER NINTENDO WORLD in Universal Studios Hollywood. Before its launch, influencers and select fans had the chance to check out the park and see all that it had to offer.
Now a year later, Universal Studios has announced that SUPER NINTENDO WORLD will be opening up in 2025 as part of the Universal Epic Universe. This 4th park will be part of a big universe experience and offer more attractions than its Hollywood counterpart.
The new park will feature Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge, Yoshi’s Adventure, Toadstool Cafe, Key Challenges and Interactive activities, 1 Up Factory, and Donkey Kong Country (Mine-cart Madness).
All these attractions are available at Universal Studios Japan with Mine-Cart Madness opening in 2024. Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge is an augmented reality blending 3D and 4D shooting Kart ride. By looking at the layout of the Universal Studios Orlando Super Nintendo World, it should be double if not triple the Hollywood park’s size and not feel as crowded.
Super Nintendo World will still utilize the power-up band so guests can still collect coins and keep track of their scores from the different challenges. These bands can be used to trigger hidden elements throughout the park as well.
In addition to Super Nintendo World, the Universal Epic Universe will also feature four other areas, Celestial Park, Dark Universe, How to Train Your Dragon Isle of Berk, and the third part of Harry Potter World, the Ministry of Magic.
For those who aren’t familiar with Universal Studios Orlando, Islands of Adventure contains the Hogwarts portion of Harry Potter land while the Universal side contains the Diagon Alley and Gringotts portion. Guests can take the Hogwarts Express between the two parks.
Are you excited for Super Nintendo World to open up in Universal Studios, Orlando in 2025? Will you be setting out for a magical adventure or waiting until the excitement dies down a little before going?
Personally, I am looking forward to checking out Donkey Kong Country since it was not available in Universal Studios Hollywood.
