One lucky fan got their hands on merchandise for the Super Mario movie way ahead of their official release.

The Reddit user got the new toys after their local Wal-Mart allegedly broke the street date.

For those who haven’t worked retail, stores receive their product in advance of the “street date,” which is the date they cannot be distributed before then.

We’ve seen these kind of leaks before with video games and other merchandise, so this is nothing new for the industry.

The Super Mario movie toys include figures of Bowser, Luigi, Mario, Peach, and Toad.

The user who first reported the leak got their hands on the 7″ Bowser figure which has a cool feature where it makes smoke when water is added to a built-in reservoir.

At the time of writing it’s unclear if other Walmart stores broke the street date, or it was just this singular store.
