Super Mario Maker Level is Coming to Super Smash Bros.

Nintendo has confirmed that Super Smash Bros. is getting a Super Mario Maker stage on both the Wii U and the Nintendo 3DS.

The new stage will be arriving for both platforms on September 30th. Featured above, you can view the debut trailer for the entirely new level.

Fans can expect “the hand” to appear throughout the match (including the set up in the beginning), with the hand reappearing to replace blocks that are broken. As the hand decides what the layout will be, you can expect each match to feature an entirely new layout.

Now we have stage from a game about stage building, in a game that also has a stage builder.

    …I like it.

    Hand shoulda been Master Hand.

Also as cool as this is it’s kinda lame that this can have slopes but SMM itself doesn’t. either way level (well the concept anyway since the level varies pretty hard) sounds awesome and I’m down for it.

meh I’m not buying it, that can’t be viable in a competitive enviroment
smash 4 just can’t get a single good competitive stage, how sad

at least it looks fun for messing around though, like good old pokefloats

Doesn’t Smash 4 have like a “final destination” variation for every single stage?

Well, there’s Dream Land out of the DLC stages, not sure about the N64 Mario and Zelda stages though.

Definitely the Zelda Stage. Its one of the most popular competitive stage in Smash 64, and Project M has it too.

dreamland was the only viable one of the DLC and only one animal crossing stage from smash 4 has been tourney viable

they’re still fundamentally final destination, so they count as final destination and not different stages
melee had a viable form of pokemon stadium, fountain of dreams, and yoshis
pm has all that plus more
at least smash 4 has some of the good brawl stages but it’s missing a lot of options
