Nintendo have announced the final major update Super Mario Maker 2, adding the new World Maker mode, and more.
As detailed on the official website and in the trailer; the update will introduce new power-ups (SMB2 Mushroom, Frog Suit, Power Balloon, Boomerang Flower, Cannon Box, Propeller Box, Red Pow Block, Goomba Mask, Bullet Bill Mask), new objects (the Cursed Key and Phanto, On/Off Trampolines), and new enemies (the Koopalings, Mechakoopas).
The biggest new addition however is the World Maker. Using the new Super Worlds mode, players can play (and create their own) overworlds packed with eight worlds and 40 courses of their own creation.

With a Nintendo Switch Online membership, you can also tackle Endless Challenge, save online courses locally for later offline play, enjoy online multiplayer with players both near and far, and customize how you appear to others by dressing your Mii™ character with fun accessories!
