Nintendo has announced initial sales for Super Mario Bros. Wonder, the latest in their flagship mascot franchise with the mustachioed plumber.

Super Mario Bros. Wonder has topped 4.3 million copies sold, a staggering achievement within two weeks of its release last month – news confirmed in their latest sales data presentation.

Nintendo also noted Super Mario Bros. Wonder is now the fastest-selling Super Mario game, though this is only since the Wii and DS era, when they started collecting sell-through sales data.
