Summon Night 5 Sales Could Lead to More Localizations, PC Version is Possible

It hasn’t been long since Gaijinworks have announced their localization for both Summon Night 5 and Class of Heroes 3, but Gaijinworks boss Victor Ireland is already teasing the possibilities of future localizations and ports.

The teasing comes from the the company’s official forums, where Ireland said that sales of Summon Night 5 could lead to the publisher bringing over “even better properties that would otherwise be stuck in Japan.” It’s worth mentioning the license deal for the game is through Bandai Namco, and not the developer Felistella.

Ireland also said that a poll for a physical release for both games will be coming in late May or early June, as the production of physical UMDs is still possible, due to Sony still supporting the PSP.

He pointed out that currently, the game doesn’t have the budget for a dub, that it would need 25,000-30,000 units sold or a dub. His estimates for the game’s sales are somewhere near the “teens or low 20′s,” while he predicted Class of Heroes 3 will “probably be around 10k.”

Ireland said that a Playstation 3 port of Class of Heroes 3 is “likely,” however a dual screen option may not be possible due to memory limitations. For those who haven’t played the previous game, they added the option to use the PS Vita as a second screen in Class of Heroes 2G.

Finally, Ireland had a tease for our PC fans in saying they have “an open invitation to port [Summon Night 5] to Steam.” While he said this is costly and will take some time, it makes you wonder if they’re seriously planning a PC version as well?

We’ll keep you guys posted.
