WayForward has shared the opening animation for Shantae 5.

Featured above, the Studio Trigger-produced animation for the game, which Studio Trigger producer Naoko Tsutsumi (Little Witch Academia) worked on alongside Shantae creator Erin Bozon (Futurama) and series director Matt Bozon.

The goal with the animation was to animate the various Shantae characters through a Kill la Kill lens, which Studio Trigger is known for. Vocals were done by Christina Vee, with original music by Mark Sparling and musical arrangement by Maddie Lim.

Shantae 5 is launching across Windows PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Apple devices (including the recently announced Apple Arcade platform).
