Studio Ghibli tease possible Star Wars anime film

Studio Ghibli

Studio Ghibli is teasing some kind of collaboration with Lucasfilm, or what could possibly be a new movie.

The Japanese animation studio dropped a major hint for what could be a new project they are working on, clearly in conjunction with Lucasfilm.

Considering what the American company is most famous for, it’s evident that there could be a Star Wars animated feature coming in the future.

The short video teaser only shows off the two company logos. There’s essentially no information of what this upcoming collaboration will be – but naturally speculation is abound.

More western properties have received anime features to varying levels of success. Most recently, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners came out on Netflix to much fanfare and gave a new surge of popularity for Cyberpunk 2077 – so it makes sense parent company Disney want to cash in on the success.
