see? the game’s not even nearly completed yet 1.4 million retards will still support an unfinished product that doesn’t even look as good as its’ predecessors. this is why gaming is dead.

Not really, it missed its sales target of 2 million. Capcom could well learn something from this. ‘Gaming is dead’ is hyperbole at best.

“Capcom is dead” is something they should have picked up on with the MML3 debacle.

And I hoped this game wouldn’t suck dick but we can’t all get what we want now, can we?

I actually bought it when Amazon had a glitch one morning. It only cost me $11. I haven’t touched it yet, but I simply couldn’t pass it up at that price, even if it is an unfinished mess.

Only 1.4 million for Street Fighter is kind of low. Good, that unfinished trash deserves mediocre sales.

While still too many copies sold, I’m glad Capcom didn’t get anywhere near the amount of sales one would’ve expected from this series. Should hopefully hurt the series going forward as well.

I really hope this trend of releasing Early Access titles as full price retail ones will come to an end soon. Sadly all three platform holders are complicit in this, either through releasing their own incomplete games (Splatoon), or paying to get an early exclusive release like (SFV, Titanfall).

Seeing Resident Evil 5 and 6 on top of that list is truly horrifying.

I can bet my left bollock that most people are waiting for the Super/Ultra edition of SFV.

Except they said there won’t be a Super/Ultra/Etc. of SFV (since all you need is the game itself) and continue using updates/patches as planned.

But hey, dev’s had made workarounds before. (I.E. lies and stuff…>.>)

I bet you only a small portion of that cast is actually going to be viable, like every KOF before. Btw, KOF always had more characters than the average SF since KOF a team based fighter with a mishmash of many SNK characters.

I gotta believe that if Capcom were forking out money they’d have paid for better scores. Frankly I wouldn’t be surprised if the semi positive reviews came because of the SJW enabling censorship. Which is weird since everything they removed from Mika & Cammy they left in with Laura. Weirdness.

Made a game for hardcore tournament folks, of which there are literally thousands, and wonder why the game underperformed? Well, for Capcom’s sake I hope those thousands of superhardcoreleet tournament players each dump a few thousand dollars into whatever DLC Capcom plans to release for this game.

Marketing towards a tiny, tiny niche market is never a smart move.

id argue the difference with splatoon is the additional content is free, id also point out you missed Hitman, which is doing some stupid season pass episodic release…. why dont they just release the whole game when its done? Whats the point? Capcom also tried this with revelations 2…. what is with publishers recently and unfinished games?

you see people this is why when you keep asking for something for something its never what you really thought you wanted.

All you fans just kept on and on and on with “We want a Street Fighter Alpha sequel” well Capcom simply listened and gave you Street Fighter while it was still in alpha.

I’m guessing what he’s referring to is that the game is pretty unfinished, the only viable mode is online VS, it has almost zero singleplayer content, not even an arcade mode.

Reviewers get their games for free, so they don’t place a value on the volume of content that the game ships with.

SFV would deserve 8/10 and 9/10 scores if it launched for $20. The problem is that it costs $60, and reviewers do not take this into account because they could care less about consumers.
