Capcom Cup X Ookami Mio

UMA, the winner of the recent $1 million prize at Capcom Cup X did so without sponsors and while representing his VTuber oshi Hololive’s Ookami Mio.

UMA, a Taiwanese Street Fighter 6 player won the entire tournament without some of the big name sponsors that other esports contenders have. Instead, he stood on stage wearing his Ookami Mio hoodie, representing his number one idol in front of the world.

His victory even caught the attention of Mio herself, who congratulated UMA for winning and was surprised to see her merch on stage.

UMA reportedly was invited to attend another tournament following his win, but declined because it would mean he would miss Hololive 5th Fes.
