Stray Children gets December release date in Japan

Stray Children

Japanese developer Onion Games has announced a release date for Stray Children in Japan, their long-awaited “bittersweet RPG.”

Stray Children is launching on December 26th in Japan for Nintendo Switch. As for the previously announced western release, Onion Games said:

“Unfortunately, you’re going to have to wait just a little bit longer: the English release is still being prepared, and, for now, we don’t have any more information on when that will be released. But the fact that the Japanese release actually has a date means the English release is that much closer as well!”

Here’s a rundown on the game, plus a new trailer:

Stray Children is a bittersweet fairytale RPG, created by many of the same people behind beloved cult-classics like Chulip, Little King’s Story, Rule of Rose, Super Mario RPG, and, of course, Moon: Remix RPG Adventure, the game we re-released in English in 2021.

The story of Stray Children begins like so:

One day, a young boy is sucked into a TV set and awakens to find himself in a land made up entirely of children.

So begins the boy’s adventures in this strange and dangerous wonderland.
