STRAY animated movie

Annapurna Animation has announced a new STRAY animated movie is in development, based on the indie hit by BlueTwelve Studio.

The new animated movie is in development within Annapurna Interactive subsidiary Annapurna Animation, and will be followed by more film adaptations for their other games.

NIMONA director Nick Bruno, and NIMONA producer Julie Zackary, and Creative Executive Erica Pulcini have all joined the team at Annapurna. Pulcini will help curate, develop and further define Annapurna Animation’s feature film slate.

Bruno is already in the process to develop and direct an untitled original feature film, and renowned director Chris Wedge is working on his next animated feature, FOO.

Annapurna Animation’s debut release, NIOMONA, was premiered at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival and released globally on Netflix June 30th.

Stray has been available across Windows PC (via Steam), Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. In case you missed it, you can find our review for the game here.
