Square Enix have announced the release date for Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin at Tokyo Game Show 2021.
Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin launches March 18th, 2022 for Windows PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. A second demo is available now on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S until October 11th,
As previously reported; Jack, Ash, and Jed attempt to find the Chaos Shrine; and defeat Chaos itself. As the trio’s memories are muddled and hidden, are they the prophesied Warriors of Light? Players will fight iconic monsters from the Final Fantasy series (turning into crystals when they die), and use powerful spells, abilities, and classic jobs (such as warrior, dragoon, and black mage).
The new gameplay trailer also confirms that time is stuck in a loop, and shows what seems to be a new female party member, Neon. Various job-like attacks are also shown, and a variety of weapons.
Players must purge the darkness from elemental crystals, but will come up against foes such as (what could be) Ifrit, Undine, and Tiamat. The latter is also fought in a sci-fi style arena- or at leasy magitek. The end of the trailer reveals one surprising fact of who Jack may be.
A second demo is available now, and features multiplayer. The demo will be available until October 11th, 02:59 p.m. (UTC); while the survey will close October 18th, 02:59 p.m. (UTC).
