We’ve known that XSEED Games is localizing Marvelous’ upcoming Harvest Moon game, Story of Seasons, but so far we haven’t known whether the game is getting a retail edition like all the previous entries in the series.

Thankfully, XSEED’s own Hatsuu confirmed (thanks for the tip K.H.V.P.) that yes, the game will be getting both a retail and an eShop release:

uuuuh, so I guess NintendoDirect said #StoryOfSeasons was eShop only? That’s definitely not the case. Physical and digital for SoS.

While this is certainly wonderful news, a release date for the game is still unconfirmed. However, we do know the game was fully translated and edited in November last year.
