Despite Might and Delight’s Shelter 2 being delayed into Q1 of next year, the team isn’t going quiet on the update front.

Featured above, the debut gameplay for the game is revealed, showing off the game’s iconic mother lynx and her cubs. The goal of the game is similar to the original: you’re a mother lynx that has to provide for her family and protect them.

Might and Delight are promising a lot of enhancements to the formula with Shelter 2, namely a stamina meter, a wider range of movements, the ability to jump, and—naturally—more animals for you to prey upon. We reviewed the original, and while we loved the premise, it had a few small issues.

The game is now slated for a February 2015 release on its official Steam page. We’ll keep you posted.
