Stellaris expansion “Overlord” launches for consoles in March

Nearly a year since its debut for the PC version, Paradox Interactive announced Stellaris: Console Edition is getting the big Overlord expansion next month.

The new “Overlord” expansion launches on March 8th for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. The DLC will be available free to owners of Expansion Pass Five, as well as through standalone DLC.

Fans can expect the new content to add more vassals and less hassles, with a focus on deeper empire management. Don’t expect a sequel to the game anytime soon, either, Paradox teased there’s still much left to do with the original game.

Here’s a rundown on the new expansion, plus a new trailer:

From specialized vassals to powerful new megastructures, Overlord will offer fans multiple and exciting ways to control their galactic empires. Overlord is included as part of Stellaris Expansion Pass Five, available for purchase now, and will be available to download for owners of the Pass when the expansion launches early next month.
