SteamWorld Heist: Ultimate Edition Heads to Switch on December 28

Image & Form Games have announced a Switch port for SteamWorld Heist.

The new version of the game, SteamWorld Heist: Ultimate Editionis coming to the hybrid console on December 28th. Featured above, you can view a new trailer for the Switch port.

The game will cost $19.99/£14.99/€19.99, and it includes all the previously released downloadable content, as well as optional touchscreen controls, a fancy new home menu icon, and more.

Here’s a rundown on the game:

In SteamWorld Heist, you command a steam-driven pirate crew in a series of epic tactical shootouts. It’s turn-based strategy with a twist: You manually aim the guns of your robots, allowing for insane skill shots and bullet-bouncing action!

As the captain you will board, loot and shoot your way through enemy spaceships. Overcome the challenges of the vast frontier by upgrading your recruits with unique abilities, weapons – and even stylish hats!

    While I loved my time with it on the WiiU, I don’t know if I’d play through it again. Great game, but while it’s replay value is OK- it’s “restart” value isn’t much since you can reply quests on multiple difficulties over and over.
