Steam store redesign finally live for everyone

Steam store

Valve has officially rolled out its redesigned Steam Store homepage to all users after several months in beta, and it’s much more than a visual refresh.

The first thing you’ll notice is the wider layout and larger game artwork, making the storefront feel more modern and easier to browse, especially on larger displays.

The update also improves the experience on Steam Deck and Big Picture Mode, giving Steam a more consistent look across devices.

One of the biggest additions is a new Personalized Calendar that recommends upcoming releases and recent launches based on your gaming habits, wishlist, and interests. I

nstead of relying solely on what’s popular, Steam is now trying to surface games you’re actually likely to care about:

Valve has also expanded the visibility of DLC. Discounted expansions for games you already own now have permanent space on the homepage, alongside wishlist deals that were previously reserved for major sales events.

Another notable change affects the Popular Upcoming section. Valve says it will now focus more heavily on major anticipated releases, which could make it harder for smaller indie games to gain visibility in that particular slot. However, the new recommendation systems may help offset that by connecting niche titles with the players most likely to enjoy them.

This change comes after Steam did a massive overhaul of their tag system just few weeks ago.
