Steam Deck reaches over 4000 verified and playable games

Steam Deck

The support for the Steam Deck, which launched only earlier this year, continues to grow as the handheld gaming PC now reportedly supports over 4000 games.

According to Gamingonlinux, the number of titles that have been marked as either “verified” or “playable” for the device have surpassed the 4000 number milestone.

Note that this number is only counting games that have been formally verified to work on the Steam Deck. Aside from the currently listed 1600 games that are officially unsupported, there are likely a plethora of games that can run that have simply yet to be tested.

This is good news for owners of the device, as they have literally thousands of games available to them through the Steam Deck. It’s also great considering that also according to Gamingonlinux, 43 of the top 50 and 73 of the top 100 are also verified for the console.

The Steam Deck continues to prove to be popular as people are still waiting for their orders to ship. The demand has proven to be well above Valves expectations, where they also drew controversy with attempts to deal with supply chain issues with their change in SSDs. Their dock was also delayed due to similar problems as well.

Valve’s recently launched Steam Deck is now available, and in three flavors: $399 (64GB), $529 (256GB), and $649 (512GB), over on the Steam store.
