It’s long been speculated that Valve would make new iterations of Steam Deck, their handheld gaming PC, but now it seems Valve themselves have confirmed future successors to the console.
A newly published booklet focused all on the handheld teases “improvements and iterations to hardware”, even “new versions” of the device for markets.
“Steam Deck represents the first in a new category of Steam handheld gaming PCs. In the future, Valve will follow up on this product with improvements and iterations to hardware and software, bringing new versions of Steam Deck to market,” the document reads.
Since its initial release earlier this year, Valve has already changed up components for the hardware to address its slightly noisy internal fan, as well as a change up for its main internal harddrive.
Valve’s recently launched Steam Deck is now available, and in three flavors: $399 (64GB), $529 (256GB), and $649 (512GB), over on the Steam store.
