Steam Deck launches in several Asian markets starting in December

Steam Deck

Now that the Steam Deck is readily available to order without reservations in its launch territories, Valve is ramping up to launch in Asian regions.

Via third-party partner Komodo, Steam Deck will finally be available in Japan, South Korean, Hong Kong, and Taiwan beginning December 17th. Fans in Australia have to wait longer, unfortunately.

If you’re one of our fans from one of those regions, you’ll be able to order the standard 64GB, 256GB, and 512GB configurations via the Komodo website.

Previously, demand had dwarfed the supply of Valve’s coveted handheld so much so that the company was only shipping orders to reservations. Now, they’re estimating a 1-2 turnaround for new orders in original territories, which is a big upgrade.

Valve’s previously launched Steam Deck is now available in western markets, and in three flavors: $399 (64GB), $529 (256GB), and $649 (512GB), over on the Steam store.
