I’m sorry to greet you guys with some gore right up front, but I figure I won’t beat around the bush when talking about the kickstarter funded game, Stasis. It looks quite awesome, and it has the makings of a very unique and terrifying experience.
Stasis is a 2D, isometric point and click adventure game, aiming to give a mature, deep and horrifying experience for gamers. Think of it as a new Alien movie in terms of aesthetics, but in playable form, but also nothing like that terrible abomination Prometheus.
The game is being developed by The Brotherhood, an indie studio based out of South Africa, spearheaded by brothers Christopher and Nicolas Bischoff, who have been industry veterans for over a decade. They hope to bring their talent and passion for games to their new studio.
You can view their kickstarter pitch below:
Mark Morgan is a name that will be familiar to fans of old school isometric adventure and or RPG games – he’s very talented and the mastermind behind games such as Planescape Torment, Fallout 1, 2 and New Vegas, even newer kickstarter projects like Wasteland 2, Project Eternity and Torment: Tides of Numenera. Now he’s working on Stasis, so this is definitely exciting!
The game has some seriously passionate talent behind it, and they’ve already completed several aspects to the game, they just need that extra push to finish development. If you want to throw money at their game, you can do so on their kickstarter page. They’re also up on Steam Greenlight, so please go send them a vote there as well!
