Starter Pokémon First Evolutions, Poké Pelago and Ash-Greninja Reveals For Sun & Moon

The newest Youtube video from The Pokémon Company has brought even more new info about the upcoming Pokémon Sun & Moon games.

The first evolution for the starter Pokémon were revealed: the Blade Quill Pokémon Dartrix, the Fire Cat Pokémon Torracat and the Pop Star Pokémon Brionne.

Also shown was The Festival Plaza, which is a special area of the game, owned by Captain Sophocles, where all communication related features such as battling and trading are gathered together. Here, players will be able to meet guests and access several booths where you can use Festival Coins which are earned by fulfilling missions, guiding guests to other booths. Those booths range from stat training to dye stores.

Pokémon Sun & Moon are bringing a fresh spin on classic Pokémon features, and one of them is the ways in which you interact with Pokémon Boxes. Poké Pelago is a space where Pokémon placed in Boxes can live and interact in several special islands. Isle Abeens will act as the game’s Safari Zone, where wild Pokémon can take a liking to you and join your party. Isle Aphun allows you to send your Boxed Pokémon out on expeditions to gather items. Isle Evelup is a training specific island, where your Pokémon can be trained and given stat and buff increasing drinks.

Mega-Evolution is confirmed to return, with all the previous Mega-Evolutions from X, Y, Omega Ruby, and Alpha Sapphire available.

A Special Demo for Pokémon Sun & Moon will be available on October 18th, 2016, and just like the Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire special demo, you will be able to transfer a Pokémon from the demo to the main game. This time, that Pokémon is the Greninja owned by Ash Ketchum, dubbed Ash-Greninja. This Greninja has the exclusive Ability ‘Battle Bonds’, which allows him to evolve into the Ash-Greninja form for the rest of the match whenever he defeats an opposing Pokémon.

Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon are launching for the Nintendo 3DS on November 18th in North America and November 23rd in Europe.

    The name is really “Why?”.

Hope festival coins are obtainable offline. The previous video showed clothing stores are located there and it would suck to lose it when wi-fi shuts down.

We’re getting femboi seal pokémon instead. Doesn’t help that rubbing his titless chest makes him happy.

Brionne looks like something the creator of Assigned male would draw.

There’s NPC guests that you can help and lead them to booths, which they reward you with coins for the help.

It’s final evolution is going to be Brionne Wu.

The only one of those that looks nice is the panther. The others are just kinda…there.

I still like the dapper owl, but I’m disappointed in furry-bait seal.

The cat is still a bloody cat. That’s cool too, I liked Shinx.

So we’re getting a rouge, performer, and I guess a beast class this time around if they’re still following RPG arch-types.

I wonder how things will turn out if they have a day/night form though, since they could switch between sub-classes for their designs.

That said, Poke Pelago sounds interesting.

Was this in a press release? I thought the guy in the trailer was a streetpass or such.

I remember when Safari Zone is a fun little romp instead of a gay little afterthought.

Why would anyone want Ash-Greninja when the bastard can’t even take down a fire type when it actually matters?

Idk, do you mean as far as style/design or meta viability in the competitive scene? Swampert was cool, Empolean was cool, and Greninja is probably the most popular for obvious weeb pandering reasons.

Once again, first 3 generations were best and everything after that is trash.

I keep hearing people saying Unova had the worst “new” pokemon, but all I could see is business as usual.

I disagree completely. Then again, there’s no accounting for other peoples’ obviously inferior, totally not even equal to mine, taste. Such is the burden of having the highest of standards. Woe is me.

Charizard X is part dragon making water damage neutral against it. And poor writing shouldn’t influence your choice. Otherwise why not just go with Pikachu since it can slay psuedo legendaries and legendaries.

Brionne looks just as bad as Popplio. They both don’t look unique enough for me to even consider using them, at least when comparing them to the other starters.. The owl is at least cute, then becomes a posh butler. And Litten and Torracat are… Just cats, but they’re FIRE CATS, with a nice design and color scheme.
