MY.GAMES publishing label Knights Peak and developer Offworld Industries have announced Starship Troopers: Extermination is leaving early access this fall.
Starship Troopers: Extermination is leaving early access on October 11th and hitting full release alongside console ports for Xbox Series X|S and PS5. The console ports will be available digitally and at retail.
The first-person shooter was originally released for PC (via Steam) back in May 2023. Alongside the big 1.0 release is the news a brand new single-player mode is coming, starring none other than Casper Van Dien as series protagonist Johnny Rico.

New Single Player
Casper Van Dien, the star of the original 1997 Starship Troopers film, who revealed that his iconic character Johnny Rico will return in Starship Troopers: Extermination, commanding players in a new, single-player game mode included in the 1.0 launch, alongside new enemies, locations & more!
The new game mode focuses entirely on a single-player experience, offering 25 distinct missions and a variety of PvE combat scenarios across multiple environments, with a second chapter to follow post-launch. Tapped for an elite spec ops group within the Mobile Infantry, players find themselves following the orders of living legend General John “Johnny” Rico, proving their mettle against hordes of enemy Arachnids with the aid of three original NPC allies to prove themselves worthy of recruitment.
Current State of Early Access
Alongside the announcement, Offworld also shared a new gameplay trailer, showcasing the battles, Bugs and blasts that console players can expect from upon their enlistment in the United Citizen Federation’s Mobile Infantry. Additionally, in the coming weeks, Offworld will share more information regarding Starship Troopers: Extermination—including details about the latest update, which arrives at the end of June.
