Stardew Valley update 1.6 has to be “on all platforms” before Haunted Chocolatier work continues

Haunted Chocolatier

Eric ‘ConcernedApe’ Barone has finally released the massive 1.6 update for Stardew Valley, his beloved farming/life sim. Fans are eager for his next game, however he want to get the update to all platforms, first.

Months in the making, Stardew Valley’s big 1.6 update went out to PC owners first and will hit various consoles soon. Barone noted he doesn’t want to pick up work on his next game until it’s on all platforms, and bug-free.

Barone’s next game, Haunted Chocolatier, was ironically put on hold so he could fully dedicate his time to finishing what many consider to be Stardew Valley’s final large content update.

The last update we got for Haunted Chocolatier was way back in December of 2021, teasing that Barone was working on core elements of the game and generally wants to wait to share larger progress updates.

Barone describes Haunted Chocolatier as a “magical haunted ghost chocolate” game. It looks reminiscent of Stardew Valley and is connected to it somehow, yet it focuses entirely on chocolate-making.

Stardew Valley has been available since 2016 for Windows PC (via GOG, and Steam) Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Android, and iOS. Check out our review here!
