The cultural impact of indie gem Stardew Valley is hard to quantify, so much so that it’s even getting an official cookbook next year.
The official Stardew Valley cookbook is coming on April 16th, 2024 and preorders are now live on Amazon and other participating retailers. Like other popular game cookbooks, the official Stardew Valley cookbook will come in a deluxe hardcover edition.
Fans can expect “over fifty mouthwatering recipes” accompanied by a bevy of “vibrant photography and original illustrations,” and will cover all four seasons worth of recipes and delights.
Some examples given already include a “complete breakfast” made up of early spring rhubarb coupled with a filling Farmer’s Lunch, or in summer you can make yummy Crab Cakes, fall brings Pumpkin Soup, and in winter you can chow down on a Strange Bun.
The official Stardew Valley cookbook will be produced by Stardew Valley creator Eric Barone himself, alongside Ryan Novak (The Stardew Valley Guidebook, Hollow Knight Wanderer’s Journal).
Barone’s next game, Haunted Chocolatier, has been put on hold while he works on late post-launch content for Stardew Valley – so it kind of makes sense he’s also throwing an official cookbook out, too.
Stardew Valley has been available for Windows PC (via GOG, and Steam) Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Xbox One, Android, and iOS. Check out our review for Stardew Valley here!
