The upcoming Star Wars game from Bit Reactor and Electronic Arts (EA) subsidiary Respawn Entertainment is still in development despite industry-wide layoffs.

Bit Reactor addressed concerns directly in a tweet, saying that their upcoming game is unaffected by “last week’s news”.

Last week, Laura Miele the president of EA Entertainment and Technology announced that an upcoming Star Wars game from Respawn was being scrapped. However this announcement only referred to an upcoming First Person Shooter (FPS), but fans were still worried about the upcoming strategy game.

Details about the upcoming Star Wars strategy game are forthcoming, keep up to date here at Niche Gamer as we learn more.
